100 Days to Entrepreneurial Greatness

Day 1

Begin the 100 Days to Entrepreneurial Greatness with asking yourself this question:

“Am I interested in success or am I committed to success?”

I have no need to define success for you – that’s for you to know for yourself.

Many of us are interested in success if it’s not too much work or doesn’t get us too far out of our comfort zone…and the few who are committed to success are the ones who learn to maximize their productivity (while keeping their life in some sort of balance!) and get out of their comfort zones when they need to.

Decide today, on this first day of 100 Days to Entrepreneurial Greatness…are you interested or committed?

If you’re committed, set some goals for yourself for the next 100 days, but first…

Choose a reward for yourself that you’ll get if you stay on track with your goals!

Some of you work better with a weekly reward. Some of you will want to have something you get at the very end. Use your imagination, get wild. It doesn’t have to be expensive or make sense to anyone else. One of my big rewards for reaching a goal once was upgrading our car rental on a family vacation so we had more space.  It was a 3 week road trip…so you can imagine how motivated I was! For some of you, that would be no motivation at all. For me, it was exactly what I needed to keep me on track.

Whatever motivates you. YOUR definition of success. YOUR goals.

The most successful people commit to the daily activities that will lead them to the bigger goals.

Write your goals down. Make copies. Put them in your phone, your planner, organizer or calendar.

Hang them on your bulletin board, your refrigerator, your dashboard.

Send yourself a voicemail message or an email.

Put a picture or describe the reward waiting for you WITH your goals so you’re always reminded of what you’re working toward!

MAKE IT FUN!

I believe in you! Make the next 100 days rock!

Day 2

“People are buying (insert your product or service here), so what can I do today to find more of them to buy from me?”

Plan your day accordingly!

Today’s tip:  Review your lead generation strategies and commit to 99 days of lead generation!

You should have more than one way of getting leads. Here are just a few strategies to consider:

Networking groups – be careful about which ones you choose! It’s rare to get leads from a networking group of people who offer the same services you do.  Think about who your target market is – and go hang out where they do!

Personal sphere – who do you personally know who needs your services?

Offers to your list – invite the people on your list into conversation and to work with you every week!

Facebook – targeted ads, biz page, etc.

Past clients – for tune ups or referrals!

Speaking – events, Meet Up groups, telesummits, intro talks

Event sponsorship

Review where your last 10 clients came from and do more of that!

Don’t take too much time making the plan – commit to making the contacts today and get on it! Feel free to modify the plan as you go – and increase your efforts if you under-committed!

Even when you get busy, you must continue prospecting. Consistency is key!

Make it fun…

I believe in you! Make the next 99 days rock!

Day 3

Check your confidence level today.  How are you showing up to prospective clients?

If YOU were looking for someone who offers your services, would YOU hire YOU?

I believe in you! Make the next 98 days rock!

Day 4

Time to pick up the phone! Today, call 3 people who need your services and invite them to work with you.

Don’t have anyone you feel like you can call? Then call 3 people who you can do some kind of joint venture with – teleclass, live event, etc.

Get the flow of leads coming your way!

I believe in you! Make the next 97 days rock!

Day 5

Time for a reality check.

Ask yourself “Am I an expert in my business?”  When prospective buyers of your service or product are looking for what you offer, do they have confidence that you can deliver?

You don’t have to know everything, but you do have to have confidence that the product or service you deliver is top notch!

If you don’t feel like an expert, figure out what you need to do!  Do you truly need more education/experience OR do you need a mindset shift to claim your brilliance?

I believe in you! Make the next 96 days rock!

Day 6

Reach out and touch day…

Is there someone you’d love to joint venture with – or have speak to your community? Reach out and touch them today – drop in on their Facebook page, send a personal note to their company address, connect with them on Twitter.

Do you have a past client you haven’t talked with for awhile?  Reach out and touch them today. Find out how things are going. If it feels right, offer a chance for them to do some “tune up” work with you – or ask them for a referral.

Know someone with a business where you could exchange referrals?  Reach out to them to see how their business is going – and offer to help if there’s something you can do to assist them in reaching their goals.

I believe in you! Make the next 95 days rock!

Day 7

Sometime today, take 15 minutes and do two things.

First, reflect on how you spent the last week working on your business.

Are you happy with the effort you put in and the results you experienced?

Second, plan out your next week. If you completed the exercise on Day 1, you’ll have your goals set. (If not, go back and complete those!)

I believe in you! Make the next 94 days rock!

Make the next 93 days rock!

Day 8

Begin your LIST of 100 today…

Write down 100 reasons why someone would want to do business with you.  Work on this list every day until you get to 100…and then keep adding to it!

Then, when you’re having a challenging day, pull out that list and remind yourself why people want and need YOUR services…

I believe in you! Make the next 92 days rock!

Day 9

What do you have planned for FUN this coming weekend?  Plan something that makes you feel GOOOD!  It can be something social, something just for you, something with your family…just make sure it’s going to be fun for you!

Sometimes, as entrepreneurs, we forget how important it is to have fun and feel good… Create the intention and then make it happen!

I believe in you! Make the next 91 days rock!

Day 10

Today is 5 for 5 day.

Connect with 5 people today. Call. Write notes. Knock on doors. Get 5 friends or prospects together for coffee or Happy Hour (not your co-workers!). 5 contacts. Ask for business or referrals!

I believe in you! Make the next 90 days rock!

Day 11

Today’s tip:  Pick up the phone and call 2 people who you think are ideal clients. People who have said “not yet” to working with you or people you’ve just met who you think might be a perfect match!

The more you pick up the phone, the easier it gets!

I believe in you! Make the next 89 days rock!

Day 12

Look at your social networking strategies, whether they’re online or in person.

How are you engaging people in a meaningful conversation with you?

Are you asking questions and listening?

Are you posting on other people’s Facebook pages? Spending time on Google + or Twitter?

Sharing information about you AND the work you do?

Prospects want to feel like you are interested in them. Ask more questions. Post a question on your Facebook page and invite responses.

The purpose of social networking whether online or live is to engage with your prospects (or those who are great referral partners) and to attract more people to you.

Are you attracting or are you hiding??

I believe in you! Make the next 88 days rock!

Day 13

You business success has a lot to do with the momentum you can create.

Success breeds success.

Action creates results.

Commit today to creating momentum for yourself.

For the next 5 work days, do a time study on yourself. Keep notes on how you’re spending your work time. BE HONEST! No one is going to see this except you. So wherever it works best for you, write down what you did each day and how much time you spent doing it. (Hint: The majority of your time should be spent on sales calls and lead generation if you’re not making as much money as you would like!)

See how much more productive you can be when you bring awareness to what you do each day.

Be productive and not busy for the rest of this 100 days!

I believe in you! Make the next 87 days rock!
